Capital: Lhasa

When to go:
As the Third Pole of the earth, Tibet has a cool summer and a freezing winter. Temperature greatly changes between day and night, but sunshine is abundant.
In spring and autumn (March to May, September to November), it is quite cold, windy and dry, in summer (July to August) it's cool and even hot at noon. December to February is winter time, freezing and dry. Generally, April to October are the best time for traveling, July to September are high seasons of the year.
Actually, the situation in winter is not as tough as one imagine. Along the Yarlong Tsangpo River, Shannan and Nyingchi area, it's still a golden routine that can be tried in winter.
Nyingchi is called the Jiang'nan of Tibet (Jiang'nan means the fertile and prosperous land in the south of the Yangtze) because of its comfortable weather and green scenery in winter.
Some say it could be compared beauty with the scenery of Autumn-Jiuzhai. So if you prefer to see a busy Tibet, go there in July or August, if you prefer to enjoy it peacefully making a trip in December is also a good choice. Tibet Brief: Before I traveled to Tibet, I was wondering why Tibet attracts the hearts somewhat mysteriously? Is it that charming!?
But the day when I was on the train leaving Lhasa, so unwilling, unwilling to move more and more far away from her...
